Learning to Work and not Toil

Church was quite interesting today as always. The pastor told us about working in order to bring glory to God and to externalise worship. It made me realise a lot of things such as my knack for laziness and how I barely manage to survive on what I have. The simple reason,according to this man of God is because I toil (perform meaningless work) instead of truly working. He further said the quality of my work will determine the outcome of my pursuit. In simple terms, the amount I give will be the amount I reap. I have been suffering under the fear that I may not graduate or qualify for honours and it was always because I knew that I never worked to achieve the distinctions I prayed for or gave in the hours to gain that. I want to fulfil God's purpose and be able to say that I did what he last requested of me. I want to use my work to evangelise and show people that my God lives and that all things can be conquered through him who strengthens us. I must therefore aim to work and not toil....Glory to God for his grace and abundant love

Letter to my older self

Im sure you're glad you overcome all your fears and decided to chase after your dreams. Don't fear rejection, it's a part of life as painful as it is. Try to fulfill all the goals on your bucket list, I know it's me we are talking about but it can be done. Also thank God for all your blessings and challenges, he has brought you this far and given you all you have, so please try a little gratitude and PRAISE, he deserves it. Oh and please try to fall in love, i mean truly in love....leave all the messy games you played throughout your teenage years. Don't let people you love continue to play with you feelings and love, you are worth more than that. On that note; appreciate all the people that have graced and remained in your life, I know you tend to take them for granted but it could all be gone in the blink of an eye. Work hard and aim as high as can,you never know where your dreams could take you.
Learn to love with all your heart but remember that love that hurts isn't love at all because after all God embodies love and he would never hurt you. Don't rush into marriage because you fear being alone, it might hurt you more in the end.
And finally, do what you love and you will find someone who loves the same thing, don't look for love, beg for love or suffer for love.....JUST LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
